Service Dogs

This area of training has a wide range of skills. Dogs can be taught to perform tasks much needed by their owners, who might not be able to do them for themselves. The time spent in training is extensive and the dogs must be stable in all his attitudes about the world. No, he is not a “guide dog” but he must be spot on in his responses to the command given. To qualify for this training the dog must have his NOVICE skills down pat and then we can build from there. The federal law does not require any certification for a service dog. It is important that the law is not abused or misused as the dogs can be a tremendous asset to anyone who is in need of a reliable service dog.
